The first electric traffic light was installed on the corner of East 105th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland / Ohio on August 5th in 1914, only used with red-green lights. Here you can see the first electric traffic light in Germany / Berlin on Potsdam Square in 1924. In this time Potsdam Square was the most congested traffic square of Europe! The traffic light had to operated manually by a constable.
